Stock Fencing

Stock fencing is manufactured from galvanized steel wires with larger mesh apertures for use a perimeter and boundary fences for livestock and small holding animal control. The wire can be low carbon wire and high carton wire. If weaved by high tensile wire, it can be a high tensile barrier capable of enclosing large livestock. Galvanized stock fencing is available in a number of grades and roll sizes to suit different animals and applications, such as pigs, lambs, dogs, goats, cattle and deer.It is often used conjunction with barbed wire or electric fencing.

Depend on the weave terms, the stock fencing can be divided to Hinged joint fence and knotted mesh fence. Usually we use xxx/xx/xx to describe the size of stock fencing. The front is Height in cm, the middle is the number of line wire including selvedge and the last is the distance between stay wires in cm. Besides these, the size of stocking fence include the diameters of selvedge wire, stay wire and line wire, the length of fence. The selvedge wires, as well as some intermediate line wires, may consist of a larger diameter than other line wires and picket wires. When winding, 2t-3t mechanical pressure is added to make the mesh surface flat, the structure is firm and precise, and the line wires are uniformly crimped at regular intervals to automatically maintain fence tension during service. The mesh usually decrease in vertical dimension from the top of the erected fence downwards.

Stock fencing are rustproof and corrosion-proof, which can adapt to harsh woring environment and have a life span of 20 years. The mass of zinc coating is around 60g/m2 to 120g/m2. In a humid acidic environment, usually require the mass of zinc coating to get to 230g/m2. Africa area only use electro galvanized wire to reduce cost. Regarding the tension strength, 80kgf to 90kgf to increase the impact force for line wire and 40kgf to 50kgf to be wound for vertical wire.
